How to Choose the Right Anti-Jellyfish Pool for Your Boat

You have decided you want to swim jellyfish-free this summer. The next question is: which pool is right for your boat? Pool size, stern configuration, number of guests, and how you plan to store the equipment all play a role. This guide covers every factor so you can make the right choice from the start.

The Golden Rule: Match the Pool to Your Stern

The most important dimension is not how many people you want to fit inside — it is how much stern space your boat has to anchor and deploy the pool. A pool that is significantly wider than your stern becomes awkward to secure and can interfere with the swim ladder or outboard engines. As a rule of thumb, the pool should be no wider than the usable bathing platform of your boat.

Pool by Boat Size

Our anti-jellyfish pools come in four standard sizes to cover every type of vessel:

3×3m — Sailboats and day boats (30–45 ft)
Compact and easy to deploy single-handedly. Perfect for couples or families with young children. Deploys in approximately 8 minutes and stores in a bag small enough to fit in a cockpit locker. If you sail a monohull or a smaller day boat, this is your pool.

4×3m — Mid-size motor yachts and catamarans (40–60 ft)
Our best-selling size and the most versatile. Comfortably fits 4 to 6 swimmers and works behind the vast majority of production motor yachts and catamarans. If you are unsure which size to choose, this is the safe bet.

5×4m — Larger yachts and gulets (55–80 ft)
For larger groups or guests who want room to move freely. Recommended for charter yachts and larger private vessels with a wide bathing platform.

6×5m — Large motor yachts and charter vessels (75 ft+)
The largest standard size, designed for commercial charter operations. Maximum swimming area for 8–10 people simultaneously.

For superyachts and beach clubs with custom requirements, we also offer custom-built pools to your exact specifications.

Consider a Set: Pool + Inflatable Platform Together

If you also want floating deck space at water level — for sunbathing, boarding the tender, or as a launch pad for snorkelling — our pool and platform sets bundle both products at a combined price. The platform attaches alongside the pool and provides extra space at water level for the whole crew.

Add an Inflatable Platform Separately

If you already own a pool, or want a platform independently, our range of inflatable platforms come in 3×2m, 4×2m, and 5×2m — giving you 6 to 10 square metres of floating terrace at water level.
